Group Legal Director
Ms MacDonald joined ODG in 2006. She started her legal career at the global law firm of Clifford Chance specialising in M&A for six years, latterly for media clients. She is involved in all aspects of client management and content acquisition and advises on all Group legal matters. She was responsible for negotiating the sale of ODG’s one-third stake in FilmFlex to Sony and Disney and the acquisition of Mobix. Prior to joining ODG, Jane headed up the marketing department in the legal & finance sectors of the leading marketing and advertising group SAS.
From 1996 she was International Counsel for MediaOne International (formally USWEST International) where she was responsible for all business and legal matters for its joint ventures in Western Europe, India and South America; as well as its cable company TeleWest and mobile operator One2One in the UK and was instrumental in closing the Virgin Mobile deal for One2One. Whilst at MediaOne she was on the boards of CPP-1, A2000 and Telenet Flanders. When AT&T bought MediaOne she was responsible for negotiating the sale of all of its joint venture interests to companies such as Microsoft and Deutsche Telekom.
