Kabel Baden Württemberg to show 3D blockbusters from Constantin Film on same day and date as DVD release
On Demand Deutschland (ODD), the video-on-demand (VOD) and Pay Per View content and service provider, has signed a deal with Constantin Film to offer 3D movies on demand from the same time as the DVD release to triple play service provider Kabel Baden Württemberg (KBW). The agreement will make KBW the first German cable operator to offer 3D content to their customers.
KBW customers will be able to order blockbusters such as Step Up 3D and Resident Evil: Afterlife in 3D on demand whenever they want and with complete control to pause, rewind, fast forward or watch over again. As well as the 3D version, the movies will also be available in standard SD and HD. In order to watch 3D movies subscribers will need a 3D TV screen and an HDTV set-top box.
