SeaChange International’s On Demand Group (ODG) has signed a landmark deal with Cablevision, Mexico’s leading cable provider, to manage their VOD services. The deal marks ODG’s first fully operational move into South America and will include Cablevision’s transaction video on demand (TVOD) and subscription video on demand (SVOD) services.
ODG specialize in the aggregation, content and service management of VOD services and are expert at working with operators and implementing marketing campaigns aimed at maximizing TVOD buying rates and SVOD subscribers and view rates. ODG have successfully managed VOD and Pay Per View (PPV) services for major cable and telco operators including Virgin Media in the UK, SFR in France, KBW and Unity Media in Germany, OTE in Greece, TTNet in Turkey, and du in Dubai. The company also launched the first mobile SVOD TV services with 3UK and Vodacom in South Africa. The service launch will mark the extension of ODG’s reach to 19 platforms in 13 countries handling one billion video on demand transactions per year in 10 different languages.
Cablevision is the largest Digital Multi System Operator in Mexico and is part of Grupo Televisa, the largest Spanish-spoken communication enterprise in Mexico. Cablevision successfully launched VOD and Catch-Up services in 2010, and is the leader in triple play entertainment and communication services and in providing the latest convergent technology solutions.
