Oct '11 - On Demand Group and ITV announce landmark deal to provide content on Three UK’s Mobile SVOD and Catch-Up service

Three’s customers will soon be able to watch the latest ITV shows on their smartphones following the deal between ITV and On Demand Group, the UK’s leading Video On Demand aggregator and subsidiary of SeaChange International

It is the first mobile operator catch-up deal agreed by ITV, one of the UK’s premium content suppliers, and will ensure Three UK’s Mobile Subscription Video-on-Demand (SVOD) and Catch-Up service users don’t have to miss their favourite ITV shows if they’re out and about.

Under the terms of the deal, Three’s customers will be able to watch a selection of the latest catch-up and archive content from ITV such as: X-Factor, Coronation Street, I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! and Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Subscribers will have the option to watch the content on their mobile devices whenever they choose with full control to pause, rewind, fast forward and repeat each show. The addition of ITV content to Three’s tv:ondemand service will further strengthen this offering and provide Three’s customers with even more choice and greater value.

Tony Kelly, CEO of On Demand Group, said, "We’re very pleased to be working with the UK’s leading commercial TV operator. Our deal with ITV is a key addition to the Three UK TV SVOD service and further evidence of ODG’s ability to implement targeted and compelling TV on demand services."

Neale Dennett, Head of VOD and Strategic Partnerships, ITV said, "We are delighted to announce this deal which gives viewers further opportunities to access ITV content. The deal with On Demand Group highlights our progress in maximising the value of existing ITV content in a commercially viable way."
