Nov '11 - On Demand Group (ODG) and M-Tel sign multi-screen deal to develop Video On Demand services in Bulgaria


ODG has signed a landmark deal with M-Tel, Bulgaria’s leading telecom operator, to manage its VOD services. M-Tel is the first and largest GSM mobile phone operator in Bulgaria with over 5 million subscribers and has also been rapidly expanding into fixed line internet and entertainment services.

ODG specialises in the aggregation, content and service management of VOD services - and is expert at working with operators to implement marketing campaigns aimed at maximising TVOD buy rates, SVOD subscribers and view rates. ODG has successfully managed VOD and pay Per View (PPV) services for major cable and telco operators including Virgin Media in the U.K., SFR in France, KBW and Unity Media in Germany, OTE in Greece, TTNet in Turkey, and du in Dubai. The company also launched the first mobile SVOD TV services with 3UK and Vodacom in South Africa. The service launch will mark the extension of ODG’s reach to 22 platforms in 14 countries handling one billion video on demand transactions per year in 11 different languages.
